CHICAGO NAVY MEMORIAL EVENTS - PAST AND FUTURE

The Chicago Navy Memorial Foundation takes pleasure in sponsorship of events in and around Chicagoland that convey the stories of the area's contributions to America's military heritage, and bring the messages and progress of today's Navy to the public. This section provides information on upcoming events and photos of some of our most recent activities. All Chicagoans and visitors to our City are welcome and encouraged to participate.


Navy Pier Military Plaque Dedication

Chicago's Navy Pier, Thursday, May 25, 2017 - 10:00 AM. Dedication ceremony was held on the east end of Navy Pier.

Crowds participated in a solemn ceremony dedicating a plaque commemorating some of America's and Chicagoland's heroes of World War II who lost their lives training for combat in the Pacific Theater.

Dinner Featuring Admiral Cecil Haney, February 23, 2016

Admiral Cecil Haney, Commander of the United States Strategic Command, visited Chicago February 23, 2016 and was Guest of Honor and Speaker at a dinner sponsored by the Chicago Navy Memorial Foundation held at Chicago's Union League Club. Admiral Haney, whose command oversees America's strategic nuclear deterrence, gave over 100 attendees a fascinating inside look at our global strategic posture.
